It was the 9th of July 2021. England and Italy had reached the finals. I woke up with a short poem in my mind:
After
Brexit
Covid-19
Determined…
Euro 2020.
I challenged myself to complete this acrostic poem (from A-Z). And to make it even more interesting I had to:
- complete it with a an animated video.
- add a matching voice over and soundtrack.
- within 48 hours (a.k.a. straight after the finals).
It resulted in my personal ode to the brave Englishmen who tried to bring football home.
But secretly even more for ‘gli Azzurri’ who gave them a new complex: Ze New Germans.
